What is Eyebrow Threading?
Threading is an alternative to hot-waxing and plucking that involves using a simple cotton thread to grasp and pull unwanted facial hair out by the root. Threading has been practiced for centuries among women in ancient Asian countries. Over the past several years, the craft, which enthusiasts say is gentler and safer than other depilatories, has boomed in the United States.
Threading is a natural hair removal process that works on all types of skin: normal, sensitive, tanned, medicated or damaged.
The thread is held in a unique was allowing a twist to form in the center. This twist is pulled across the skin surface, and this movement removes all facial hair that is unwanted from the root. With threading, hair is removed by row or individually. Thick or fine, dark or light, short or long hair can be removed straight out of the follicle.
Thread can be used anywhere on the face and neck including eyebrows, upper lip, chin, forehead, sideburns, and the front and back of the neck. The procedure only takes 5-10 minutes. The hair doesn’t grow back darker or thicker. The procedure will last about 2-4 weeks.
Eyebrow threading creates a clean, elegant edge. A master eyebrow stylist can do wonders with a simple peace of thread.
Why is it better than other eyebrow shaping techniques?
One does not have to wait for the hair to grow a certain length unlike waxing or tweezing because even if the hair is 1mm/2mm above the skin, it can be removed with this technique. Threading allows precise shaping and smoother arches. It lasts longer than waxing or tweezing. Unlike tweezing/ “plucking”, threading makes it possible to remove a clean line of hair all at once, making it much quicker and easier to shape the brows. Also, when the hair grows back it does not grow in all different directions…it grows relaxed and flat against the skin.
Why do dermatologists often recommend threading?
Threading is dermatologist-recommended for people with sensitive skin and that are on medications such as Accutane and Retin-A. Unlike waxing, depilatory creams and laser treatments, with threading there is no risk of the delicate top layer of the skin being removed, tugged, or stretched. There is no risk of being burned with hot wax or being infected with bacteria from contaminated wax from previous clients. There is no sticky, mess left behind unlike with waxing.
Threading also benefits the skin by exfoliating and massaging, and over a time the facial hair becomes softer and in some cases some clients will have less hair.
How often should should I get my eyebrows threaded?
Every two weeks is the best routine to follow. Your brows will look clean and defined for two weeks,
Then as they grow out, brows steadily start losing their shape and begin to look scattered, untidy and shabby.
Also, our Clients are so used to having beautiful brows ….the acknowledgments and the compliments that they receive, that they love to keep them well groomed and maintained.
Who does Eyebrow Threading?
It is preferable to get Threaded by an experienced and trained Eyebrow specialists. Availing Threading services by an inexperienced and improperly trained technician can result in uneven brows, hair breakage, ingrown hair, unnecessary pain, pinching or bleeding of the skin.
What is Henna Art?
Henna paste is all natural containing only the powder of crushed henna leaves, eucalyptus oil, and lemon juice for scent. Express yourself without the commitment. NO CHEMICALS ARE ADDED..
How Does Henna Work?
The Henna paste is applied to the skin in a freehand drawing. After drying in 15 to 20 minutes henna past crackles, flakes and falls off leaving your tattoo on your skin. Let the dried paste fall off on it’s own. Henna paste is a dye and the longer it is left on the skin, the more layers of skin become stained by it. The design will darken over the first 24 hours to its natural reddish brown color. Reacting with the pigments in various skin types, it will turn more brown on lighter skin and more red on darker skin. The tattoo will remain until all the stained layers of skin naturally exfoliate. It will last from 2 to 4 weeks making Henna Tattoos the longest form of temporary tattoos available
